As we are settling into this new season, we are approaching Week Two with excitement. Prototyping and designing are at a frontier while we are finding ways to put our team on top. This year’s game brings many challenges, so this week is dedicated to designing, prototyping, and testing. All the teams are working together to figure out what is the most efficient and seamless way to design this very important robot.
Outreach:
Business Team Leader Melissa Domen is continuing her work with the Stone Bridge Middle School robotics teams. These teams are spending time preparing for the New Jersey FIRST Lego League qualifying competition. True North Robotics Innovation and Impact is benefiting immensely from the leadership of Miss Domen. Not only are we working with the middle school, but we are also working on getting more sponsorships to help with funding the team.
Build Team & Programming:
Both the build team and programming team are working together to design a model in order to start the construction of the final robot. Discussing, drawing, and modeling are a very large part of achieving this. Late nights were spent drafting different prototypes and evaluating options. Working together to brainstorm ideas is such an important part of the building process, so this week everyone is working incredibly hard.
Business Team:
As we are still in the beginning of the season, there’s a lot of business related maintenance to do! The business team is working hard finding outreach and sponsorships for the benefit of the team. Getting our name and work out into the community is our number one priority at this moment. Creating and managing Redbird Robotics merchandise is also something we are working on.
