On the 27th of December, 23 members of our team came to the Hamilton Marketplace ShopRite and bagged customer’s groceries all day to raise money to help cover travel expenses. Two Freshmen who went to the fundraising event, Julia Valentino and Sydney Miller, found the experience to be quite rewarding. Sydney says, “Although it was difficult at first, but the more you do it, the easier it gets.” Julia says the bagging was an extreme success. In total, we raised $1,259.21 and we are extremely grateful for everyone that donated. The bagging gave all members who participated an opportunity to work for a day and improve real-life skills like communication and strategy. It also gave us the opportunity to chat with customers and employees of our local community about our team. Overall, it was a very enjoyable fundraiser. We have two more baggings coming up this year, May 23 and August 29, 2020, so make sure to stop by.
